Coronavirus Update 03/07/2020
In line with the Government's continued relaxation of the lock down regime I'm pleased to confirm we are planning to open the club house from Saturday July 4th, albeit in a strictly limited way:
Primarily the clubhouse will only be open for use of the toilet and essential access e.g. Bob or Tony to retrieve equipment.
Only one person to be allowed in the club house at a time
Soap and paper towels and bin with lid will be provided in the toilet area to ensure compliance with hand washing routines.
It remains good practice for all players to sanitize hands before and after play i.e. on entry & exit to the court.
The club house cannot be used for socializing by members or parents. Similarly the guidance makes clear no changing in the club house or indeed storage of bags - these will need to be left court side.
Coronavirus Update 19/03/2020
As a club we are committed to protecting the health and safety of our members, whilst appreciating the benefits of exercise and fresh air. We are monitoring both government and LTA advice, and are issuing this guidance accordingly, however we recognise that we may need to change our recommendations as the situation evolves.
This link gives the latest government guidelines: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
The club remains open for as long as possible for personally arranged social tennis (over 14’s only unless accompanied by an adult member).
All individual and junior group coaching sessions are cancelled until further notice.
We ask that you follow the measures below in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus:
Social distancing – please be mindful and respect personal space
Do not use the clubhouse except for toilet and sink facilities
Wash hands before and after playing
Avoid non essential contact – no shaking hands, high-fives etc
Do not share equipment, racquets etc
Please do not visit the club if you are in any way unwell, particularly if anyone in your household has a high temperature and/or a new persistent cough. All players play at their own risk.
We appreciate your support in adhering to the above measures, and will continue to review as and when we get further updates.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope you all stay healthy and safe.
